For some groups, a ban on state AI bills may be a total nonstarter. This week, several children's advocacy organizations — including Design It For Us, Parents Rise, Young People's Alliance and Encode — sent a letter to House Armed Services Committee leadership urging them not to include a state AI ban in the defense year-end spending package, citing potential harms to children.
